Experience Requirements: Required Minimum of 15 years related progressive management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. An experienced values-driven leader with appropriate conservation experience. Proven ability to set strategy, programmatic and operational priorities, enhance systems and policies, and lead organizations to success. Successful track record in fundraising; corporate, foundation, and individual giving, and ability to identify new revenue streams. Experience working with a board and developing and supporting engaged and effective governance. Experience working with a wide range of constituencies, including senior executives, corporate leaders, heads of state, and other non-governmental organizations. An inspirational, entrepreneurial, and dynamic thought leader who can deliver and be accountable for results. Extraordinary work ethic and a role model of positive values, transparency, and mentoring, with interest and ability to build teams. Highly adaptive and able to work well in high-stress situations. Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills, including effective presentation and negotiation skills. Fluency in Spanish, Portuguese, and/or French. Worked in one or more of the regions in which CI works – Asia-Pacific, Africa, or the Americas.
