– Completed studies (master’s or similar) with a background in engineering, environmental sciences, economics, or similar
– 1-2 years of professional experience from previous jobs in a similar area of work, ideally in the field of international development cooperation and / or climate finance
– Basic understanding of international climate policy / finance
– First experiences with climate finance proposal development (Green Climate Fund, Global
Environment Facility, NAMA Facility), and/or calculation and evaluation of GHG emission reductions in various sectors (e.g. from CDM, voluntary market standards, GHG Protocol, carbon footprinting, etc) are a strong asset
– Experience in climate-relevant mitigation and/or adaptation sectors is an advantage
– High motivation to steer and drive processes and take over responsibility / project management
tasks
– Independent and result-oriented working style as well as strong communication skills
– A careful way of working and very good knowledge of the fundamentals of scientific work
– Willingness to travel internationally
– Proficient German and English skills, good command of Spanish or French is an advantage
– Very good knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), advanced Excel
knowledge is an advantage
