Term: Full time Experience Requirements: The successful candidate will lead the creation of a new think tank “center” on climate risks in the food, forest and land sectors. The specific mandate of the new Center is to educate investors and the general public about material risks faced by publicly traded companies in those sectors as a result of climate change. The Managing Director will lead all aspects of this multi-year initiative, including project design, economic research, financial analysis, media relations, investor outreach and other external engagement. The Managing Director will also serve as the de facto chief economist and/or lead financial analyst at Climate Advisers, advising on all aspects of the organization’s work. Qualifications: Advanced graduate degree, either a PhD in applied environmental or natural resource economics, or an advanced degree in business or finance. Minimum of seven to fifteen years of work experience in applied economics and/or financial analysis. Proven track record of conceptualizing and executing your own economic research. Proven track record of financial and personnel management. Extensive project management experience. Prior experience representing organizations or projects externally, including in the media.
