Experience Requirements: Doctorate is required, and applicants must have received their Ph.D. degree within the last five years. Candidates should be experienced in conducting field research in developing countries and have demonstrated research experience in case study and survey interview methodology. The scholar will be expected to conduct online interviews. Once university regulations allow in-person interviews and travel, candidates must be willing to travel and spend time in case study countries. Candidates with demonstrated research experience in process tracing methods preferred. Applications will be accepted from all disciplines as the Climate Policy Lab is committed to interdisciplinary research. Candidates must, however, display a strong interest in BRI and energy/environmental/climate issues. Fluency in English is required. If the candidate proposes to conduct research in China, proficiency in Chinese will be required. For topics pertaining to host countries of the BRI, proficiency in the relevant local languages is preferred. Applicants should be experienced in conducting independent, self-directed research, and will be expected to ensure the deliverables required by the project are produced on time. Special Requirements: The position is currently remote. Once restrictions have been lifted, the Postdoctoral Fellow will be expected to be onsite at The Fletcher School, Tufts University in Medford, MA, USA.
