Your tasks
– Project management, overseeing of project processes, communication with clients and coordination of stakeholder engagement processes
– Elaboration of funding proposals for international donors and climate funds (Green Climate Fund (GCF), Global Environment Facility (GEF), Mitigation Action Facility (MAF), etc.)
– Determination, calculation and evaluation of GHG emission reductions
– Support of GCF Readiness and Support Programme Activities
– Advising ministries and implementing / donor organizations on international climate policy and climate finance
– Support and processing of various advisory / research / analytical activities on aspects of international climate policy and finance
– Working in partnership with our international clients, including on-site assignments (mainly in the Global South)
– Various activities in acquisition processes and business development

Special Requirements
Your Qualification – Completed studies (master’s or similar) with a background in engineering, environmental sciences, economics, or similar – 3-5 years of professional experience in a similar field, as advisor with project responsibility and experience in development cooperation – Robust understanding of the determination, calculation and evaluation of GHG emission reductions in various sectors, e.g. from CDM, voluntary market standards, GHG Protocol – Practical experience with climate finance proposal development (Green Climate Fund, Global Environment Facility, NAMA Facility, MAF), and/or carbon market project development (CDM, voluntary standards) – Experiences in climate-relevant sectors, especially in the energy, transport and / or industrial sector are an advantage – Knowledge of international climate policy / finance – Independent and result-oriented working style as well as strong communication skills and ability to lead project teams – Project management experience, a careful way of working and very good knowledge of the fundamentals of scientific work – Willingness to travel internationally – Proficient German and English skills, good command of Spanish or French is an advantage – Very good knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), advanced Excel knowledge is an advantage
