Based in the Clean Economy Team, this Senior Policy Advisor role will play a leading role in E3G’s strategy on accelerating industry decarbonisation and industrial policy in Europe.
The successful candidate will build out our strategy, identify priority interventions, and strengthen our network on industrial decarbonisation and industrial policy in Europe. The role will require a deep understanding of the climate transition in sectors including steel, cement and chemicals and a strong interest in the cross-cutting institutions and policies needed to deliver a climate-neutral European economy.
The role will require experience working with civil society, government and industry stakeholders, and a good understanding of EU politics and policy processes.

Special Requirements
•Lead on E3G’s strategy and thought leadership on industrial decarbonisation and industrial policy in the EU, working closely with the EU Industry Programme Lead and in collaboration with the wider Clean Economy and EU teams. •Build E3G’s profile on industry decarbonisation and industrial policy, developing propositions and leading advocacy to strengthen E3G’s network among key decision makers on industry in the EU.  •Monitor key policy debates and developments in Europe and internationally related to industry decarbonisation and industrial policy and interpreting them in the context of E3G’s work. •Engage with and help to convene key stakeholder networks and supporting NGOs, businesses and investor groups, as well as managing relationships with these stakeholders. •Produce internal and external communication materials and undertake short pieces of wider analysis. •Inspire and facilitate action by the wider Clean Economy team on industrial policy, playing an active role in developing the team and supporting others. •Manage grant funding and support fundraising efforts. •Travel may be required, but we are open to discussing this if this would otherwise become a barrier to your application.
