The Climate and Clean Air Coalition (CCAC) is a partnership of governments, intergovernmental organizations, and representatives of the private sector, the environmental community, and other members of civil society.

The CCAC is the only international initiative working on integrated climate and clean air solutions to reduce the rate of near-term warming. It focuses on fast actions to reduce emissions of short-lived climate pollutants (SLCPs) including methane, black carbon, HFCs and tropospheric ozone.

More information on the CCAC is available at: www.ccacoalition.org

Indonesia joined the CCAC in 2025 to step up its ambition to combat short-lived climate pollutants (SLCPs). As a member of the Global Methane Pledge, Indonesia is working towards the collective goal of reducing global methane emissions by at least 30% from 2020 levels by 2030. Indonesia is one of the first countries to receive support under CCAC’s Super Pollutant Country Action Accelerator (“the Accelerator”), a new 3-year programme to help the government drive deep and sustained reductions in super pollutant emissions. Indonesia has indicated national planning for SLCP mitigation as a priority, as well as addressing SLCPs from the waste, agriculture, transport and fossil fuels sector.

The CCAC is therefore seeking a CCAC National Expert for Indonesia to strengthen the capacity of the Government of Indonesia to coordinate national SLCP planning, policy, and implementation efforts.

The consultant will lead the coordination and implementation of CCAC projects and engagement at the national level, including by consulting across ministries and engaging regionally and internationally on SLCP issues.

The consultant will support the identification of priorities and needs related to SLCP action, and the setup of the Super Pollutant Unit under the approved CCAC Super Pollutant Country Action Accelerator.

The CCAC supported projects include:

(1) National Planning for SLCPs
(2) CCAC’s Super Pollutant Country Action Accelerator (“the Accelerator”)

The CCAC National Expert will sit at the Ministry of Environment. S/he will work in close collaboration with the CCAC Secretariat team and focal points at the Ministry.
