Under the overall guidance of the supervisor, the intern will:
*Provide substantive and organizational support to UN Turkiye COP31 Task Team related to climate change and other thematics as required.
*Assist in organizing meetings, consultations, and coordination platforms involving UN agencies, government counterparts, civil society organizations (CSOs), youth-led organizations, private sector, academia, and other stakeholders.
*Support in preparation for background materials, draft agendas, take meeting minutes, and produce summary reports with clear follow-up actions.
*Assist in research, data management, and compile analytical inputs on climate change, sustainable development, climate finance, resilience, biodiversity, and other priority themes relevant to COP31.
*Contribute to the drafting of briefing notes, talking points, concept notes, presentations, and other knowledge products.
*Assist in developing communication and visibility materials highlighting UN system engagement and support to COP31 preparations.
*Contribute to internal coordination updates, tracking tools, and progress reports across the UN system
*Areas of work may include: Circular economy and waste management; International environmental law; Programme planning and management; Meeting coordination; Communication and outreach; Other areas as may be assigned.
