What we are looking for.

Our Institute for Earth System Predictions (IESP) is building the next generation CMCC core models to advance the understanding of the climate system, address societally relevant key questions related to climate science and advance seamless predictions of the earth system from the global to the local scales and from short term to multi decadal time scales in support of scientifically based decision making.

We are looking for a leader who will guide the ASC Division (Advanced Scientific Computing) to advance the R&D activities on Computational Science applied to the Climate Change for the development of advanced computing techniques and innovative algorithms for an optimal exploitation of numerical models.

  • The Division Director will be responsible for the coordination of all the existing and future developments of the CMCC climate systems. We expect the Director to drive significant growth within the ASC Division over the next few years and to work with the other IESP divisions in advancing an integrated modelling capability in support of CMCC applications.
