SEI Tallinn is recruiting an Expert in Climate and Energy Modelling. The temporary position (until autumn 2026) presents an opportunity to join an internationally leading research institute and contribute to the planning and development of resilient, secure and low carbon energy systems in Eastern Europe, with a primary focus on Moldova and Ukraine.
The expert will work with our existing teams in Tallinn, Stockholm and the US and in collaboration with national stakeholders and government counterparts. The main responsibility of the role is to support the development of electricity security of supply analysis and sectoral decarbonization modelling.
The work is part of a larger project Green Agenda for Armenia, Moldova and Ukraine with a goal to support these countries in their green transition and EU integration ambitions. Within this framework, the expert will apply advanced energy system modelling tools to deliver policy-relevant insights that directly support evidence-based decision-making on energy infrastructure development, decarbonization strategies, and electricity security of supply in the region.
