ABOUT CATF
Clean Air Task Force (CATF) is a nonprofit organization working to safeguard against the worst impacts of climate change by catalyzing the rapid global development and deployment of low-carbon energy and other climate-protecting technologies. This is accomplished through research and analysis, public advocacy leadership, and partnership with the private sector. CATF is highly respected for its deep expertise and research on energy and industrial systems and potential strategies, technologies, and policies that can radically shrink their impact on the planet’s atmosphere.

YOUR JOB:
– Policy analysis and monitoring – Follow up the relevant energy and climate policy developments in Germany; Disseminate advocacy opportunities across CATF programs; Develop and draft CATF policy positions on relevant topics in Germany. Research and analyse key policy files and their impact on CATF’s work.

– Strategy development and implementation – Develop and implement an advocacy strategy for Germany.
– Outreach and engagement – engage and build a robust stakeholder network in the region, including with German policymakers, industry, media, and NGOs to increase awareness of CATF and its work in the region.

– Representation and networking.

Special Requirements
– University degree in any relevant field; – A minimum of 3 years of experience in policy analysis and execution, – Project management skills incl. manage meetings and respect internal and external deadlines; – Strong understanding of the German political and legislative landscape; knowledge of EU policies is a plus. Previous experience in EU or German institutions and/or EU trade associations is a plus; – Strong interest in climate and energy policies. Familiarity with the Fit-for-55 Package is a plus; – Candidate should be based in Germany, with a preference in Berlin; – English and Germany proficiency; additional languages a plus; – Supportive team player and good interpersonal skills, with sense of diplomacy to manage a varied group of stakeholders; – Good writing skills.
