The CMCC Foundation is a scientific research center on climate change and its interactions with the environment, society, the world of business, and policymakers.
Our work aims to stimulate sustainable growth, protect the environment, and develop strategies for the adaptation and mitigation of climate change.

Our Institute for Climate Resilience (ICR) is looking for a new position of Environmental/business innovation economist & analyst responsible for contributing to in the ongoing international/European research projects in the field of climate adaptation, ecosystem regeneration and nature-based solutions.

Special Requirements
– PhD degree in Economics, Environmental Economics, Ecological Economics, Business Analysis, Environmental Science (or similar subjects) with good knowledge of finance & economics, or as an alternative, at least 5 years relevant working experience with a comparable publication record; – Background in or good knowledge and experience in environmental/resource/ ecological economics, sustainable business innovation, insurance, green finance, smart specialisation strategies, environmental accounts or similar themes; – Quantitative skills, including geospatial analysis (knowledge of programming in R and Python is not strictly required but would be an asset); – Very good knowledge of English, knowledge of other foreign languages is an asset; – Experience and attitude towards interdisciplinary team working. – Good communication skills; – Strong problem-solving attitude.
