CMCC Foundation is a cross-cutting scientific research center on climate change and its interactions with the environment, society, the world of business, and policymakers. Our work aims to stimulate sustainable growth, protect the environment, and develop strategies for the adaptation and mitigation of climate change.

Our Division of Global Coastal Ocean (GOCO) at the Institute for Earth System Predictions (IESP) is looking for a highly organized and motivated individual with a proven track record in Frontend Developer supporting the development of the digital ocean applications.

ROLE
The Fronted Developer reports to the GOCO Division. The aim of the profile will be to create user-friendly interfaces, designing and implementing features that visualize data related to climate change, ensuring that the platforms are accessible, responsive, and engaging, often collaborating with designers, backend developers, and scientists. By doing so, they help translate complex scientific data into understandable and actionable information for users, thereby fostering informed decision-making and promoting sustainable practices.

Special Requirements
– M.Sc. degree (or equivalent working experience) in Computer Science, Engineering; – Web services and web application development; – REST API; – HTML, CSS, Javascript (with cross-browser development); – JavaScript frameworks (ReactJS, Angular); – Modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token, OAuth; – Server-side programming languages (specifically: Python); – Version Control Management Systems (git above all); – Fluency in the English language; – UNIX/Linux operating systems and scripting.
