The Head of Network Development leads in the development and coordination of the Network Development Team; in strategic development and implementation of CAN Europe’s Network strategies; and in representing the CAN Europe Secretariat and Network to amongst others: NGOs, funders and decision-makers; and other relevant stakeholders.

Special Requirements

University degree or equivalent qualification in subject linked to CAN Europe’s work and mission At least 6 years of professional experience in a network development role, of which at least 2 years in a leadership role; In-depth knowledge of EU institutions and processes, including practical experience of at least one policy process relating to EU or national climate policy and/or diplomacy; Strategic thinking and long-term vision; Strong interpersonal and networking skills; Excellent level of written and spoken English; Outstanding communication and networking skills; High level of motivation and ability to coordinate the achievement of complex objectives within deadlines. Ability to put in place practices and processes that enable the integration and convergence of a wide range of different objectives and positions.
