About the startup
đŻ We are developing a unique electrochemical process which is 10x more energy efficient than first generation DAC and 3x better than the most ambitious second generation technologies. At megaton scale, we estimate the cost per ton to be well below $100/ton.
đ The startup was co-founded by Silvia & Marble.
Silvia Pugliese, PhD is a scientist and inventor at heart. During her MSc in chemistry she invented a methane capture & conversion technology and co-founded her first climate deeptech startup. Successively, she worked on developing an artificial leaf that could convert CO2 into useful products. She became part of Marble, all in with the mission to revolutionize direct air capture.
Marble is a climate tech venture studio. They partner with scientists, engineers and operators to build and scale up unique deeptech startups that slash emissions, remove carbon and cool the planet. The startup received pre-seed funding from Marble.
We are expanding rapidly, and it’s an exciting time to join us! We’ve got a brilliant team, top-tier advisors, and amazing collaborators on board. If you’re passionate and eager to make a real impact, good news- we have a seat reserved for you. đ
About The Role
We are looking for a process/chemical engineer to help us optimize out first fully integrated prototype of a unique technology with a 10x improvement potential on current benchmarks.
The role will focus on designing, building and optimizing the process, initially at small scale, with the objective to scale up quickly.
Location: HQ in Paris, lab in Paris downtown – we can sponsor relocation visa if needed
Language: English fluency required. French is not mandatory.
Your Responsibilities
* Design and development: weâll work on a fully integrated prototype for best-in-class performance. Youâll implement and configure the process, catalytic reactors, surrounding equipment (flowing, analysis), and associated software.
* Performance assessment: Youâll implement a close feedback loop on the system – allowing you to observe, orient, decide, and act for future iterations. This may include assessing processes, taking measurements, running and testing different samples, performing process simulations, and issue troubleshooting.
* Scale-up: You will also drive the scale-up process at the appropriate time, ensuring the system’s sustainability and scalability. Working alongside the CTO, you will oversee the planning, budgeting, and execution of the pilot plant project.
