The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) is an international organisation comprised of 38 member countries, that works to build better policies for better lives. Our mission is to promote policies that will improve the economic and social well-being of people around the world. Together with governments, policy makers and citizens, we work on establishing evidence-based international standards, and finding solutions to a range of social, economic and environmental challenges. From improving economic performance and creating jobs to fostering strong education and fighting international tax evasion, we provide a unique forum and knowledge hub for data and analysis, exchange of experiences, best-practice sharing, and advice on public policies and international standard-setting.

The International Energy Agency (IEA) is an intergovernmental organisation committed to advancing security of energy supply, economic growth and environmental sustainability through energy policy co-operation. The IEA operates as an autonomous body within the framework of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development. Both the OECD and the IEA seek opportunities to work with an increasing number of non-members of growing importance to the world economy.

The Energy Technology Policy Division (ETP) of the Directorate of Sustainability, Technology and Outlooks (STO) focuses on supporting the development and deployment of new and emerging clean energy technologies. One important part of the work of the ETP division is the coordination of the IEA’s energy technology network that is comprised of the Committee for Energy Research and Technology (CERT), its Working Parties, two expert groups, and 37 Technology Collaboration Programmes (TCPs). The network is the central element of IEA multilateral engagement on energy technologies with IEA member and partner countries, industry and other stakeholders.

This position in the ETP division will support a range of activities under the IEA energy technology network, focusing in particular on planning and priority-setting, events, communication and internal coordination. Other tasks will include responsibility for coordinating high-level events and workshops.

The person will work closely with the IEA’s Clean Energy Technology Officer and a team of enthusiastic professionals in a collegial and dynamic environment.
