About the Role

North American Sales Team- 1 of 15 Account Executives selling ESG software solutions in pre-defined territories (B2B).

Responsibilities

You are experienced with B2B sales of Software and/or ESG solutions (or closely related products). You also have a network within the ESG industry.

Role Responsibilities:

Product and Industry expertise:

Possess a good understanding of the ESG sector to support new business identification and customer expansion, and develop a deep understanding of the value of our ESG solutions to our customers.
Act as an internal ambassador for the ESG business, supporting communication of product enhancements and market developments across the organization and working with teams including sales, customer focus, customer success, marketing, research and consulting.
Retention and proactive new business development:

Partner with Regional Sales colleagues to broaden and deepen our ESG relationships within existing customer accounts, understand customer workflows and demonstrate how our ESG solutions can address them, identify unmet customer needs, and uncover new buying centers.
Lead all aspects of the customer lifecycle by working with other functions to support onboarding, engagement, retention, and cross selling.
Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve revenue targets and expand market share in North America.
Driving sales of EcoOnline’s organizational greenhouse gas assessment Software and related disclosure and climate risk services through proactive outreach and relationship building.
Identify and prioritize sales opportunities with prospects and existing clients who value ESG considerations in their business practices.
Collaborate with internal teams to tailor solutions that align with clients’ sustainability goals and address their specific ESG needs.
Engaging with prospective customers, addressing technical inquiries, and effectively articulating how EcoOnline’s software tools and services align with and support their sustainability reporting objectives.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including C-suite executives, procurement professionals, and sustainability officers.
Serve as a subject matter expert on ESG-related topics, providing guidance and insights to clients and colleagues alike. Provide analyst level support for the team to facilitate technical communication and ensure alignment with client requirements.
Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory developments, and best practices related to ESG, and incorporate this knowledge into sales strategies and client engagements.
Providing valuable insights and feedback to inform the software development process, contributing to the evolution of our online tool for corporate sustainability reporting.
Responsible for accurately forecasting and maintaining the company CRM
The role is field-based and candidates will be expected to visit new potential clients in US & Canada (as required).
Represent the company at trade events, award ceremonies and exhibitions

Qualifications

1-3 years of experience in B2B sales, with a demonstrated track record of exceeding sales targets.
Hold a degree in a relevant field, such as environmental sciences or statistics, coupled with a proven track record of success in sales and business development roles.
Demonstrate a deep knowledge of the ESG industry. Deep understanding of ESG principles and their relevance to businesses, along with a genuine passion for sustainability.
Possess a comprehensive understanding of GHG reporting and associated standards, demonstrating a genuine passion for environmental sciences, climate change, or sustainable development.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients at all levels of an organization.
Strong analytical skills and business acumen, with the ability to identify opportunities and develop compelling value propositions.
Embody a strong work ethic, commercial acumen, and an entrepreneurial mindset, complemented by outstanding communication skills and a personable demeanour.
Willingness to travel as needed within North America.
Demonstrate outstanding judgment in resource utilization and optimization.
Be passionate about growing the business and have a genuine interest in developing and growing yourself.
Have an intellectual curiosity about how data and analysis solve critical business issues.
Show effective organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage own workload effectively.
Previous experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce would be an advantage
ESG market knowledge/experience and SaaS sales experience are considerable advantages.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
