Job description
We are looking for a motivated and talented Fundraising Manager who will help us grow our non-profit income and expand our strategic philanthropic partnerships. The fundraising manager will proactively work on both securing future funding streams and deepening and developing existing streams of funding. The Fundraising Manager will be required to research and identify potential new funders, identify key strategic partnership opportunities and initiate relationships with donors.

Responsibilities
The Fundraising Manager is responsible for proactive fundraising activities, including concept and proposal development, donor engagement and relationship building.

Key duties:
-Engage throughout the organisation to gather information and develop high-quality proposals, concept notes, and other fundraising materials
-Drive, and as appropriate lead, the development of concept notes and other fundraising materials in the organisation
-Ensure that concept notes and subsequent proposals capture the attention of potential funders by matching appropriate concepts with funders’ areas of focus and funding commitments
-Set up introductory/pitch meetings for content experts, log interactions, coordinate timely follow-up, and develop new systems and processes, where needed
-Ensure regular communication and build relationships with existing donors (i.e. newsletters), compiling content on our impact, global reach, successes, and future plans
-Organise networking and content events targeting donors and partners
-Capture and communicate lessons learned from fundraising actions and produce regular fundraising monitoring and evaluation reports, tracking investment against results
-Map donor landscape, track opportunities and funding modalities/cycles and match these with the organisation’s creative solutions
-Forge contacts with new donors and build trusted, long-term relationships with strategically aligned philanthropies, foundations and NGO donors (future partnerships may include government donors and corporates)
-Create and maintain a funding matrix with existing and potential funders

Location: Berlin preferred, but remote work would be considered for an outstanding candidate.

Terms: Full-time position, two-year fixed-term contract with the perspective of extension based on performance and funding.

Special Requirements
Your profile Essential: -Commitment to the mission of Climate Analytics -Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience -At least 5 years’ experience in a fundraising role in the non-profit/research sector -Good understanding of the donor landscape, established contacts with funders, and proven track record of securing six to seven-figure grants -Native English speaker, with excellent writing and marketing skills -Ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines to deliver on time and to a high quality -Experience organizing events -Experience working in multicultural environments and ability to forge positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders Desirable: -Experience fundraising for a climate or environment organisation -A solid understanding of climate change and international politics -Fluency in German or French is an asset
